The knowledge upgrade variable consists of dimensions (network communities, motivations, contact lead users, social capital) and the organizational pride variable of dimensions (emotional organizational pride, attitudinal organizational pride), while business continuity consists of dimensions (business impact analysis, risk assessment, development of business continuity plan, continuous improvement). The research problems summarized in the main question (Can the academic leaders employ knowledge upgrading to enhance business continuity, and were they able to maximize this effect through organizational pride? The research applied in the private education sector. The private universities and colleges in the city of Baghdad were field of this research. The research communities based on year of establishment of the college or universities since more than 10 years have passed since its founding. Which is (Turath University, Al-Mamoun College, Baghdad College of Economic Sciences, AL-Salam College, Al-Rashid College, Al-Israa College, Dijla College, Al-Rafidain College, Al-Mansour College, and the College of originals of Religion). The research sample consists of (177) from deans of colleges and their assistants as well as heads of departments Scientific and administrative. The researchers adopted the analytical descriptive approach. The questionnaire used as a main tool for collecting data on the applied side as well as conducting interviews, after evaluating and testing the validity and reliability of the research measurement tools. The data analyzed and hypotheses were tested using appropriate statistical tools using the statistical program (SPSS) and (AMOS) to analyze the data. The results showed that there is a significant effect of knowledge upgrade in business continuity, this effect increased by the mediation of organizational pride. The research concludes with recommendations and future
