As part of the activities of International Anti-Corruption Day, the Continuos Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences<\/a>, has organized a lecture entitled \u201cMechanisms for Combating Corruption and the Role of the Internal Control System in Combating Corruption,\u201d presented by the lecturer Nofal Ghazi Zaghir. The lecture has addressed the topic of combating corruption and its essential role in building a fair and just society. These efforts require the implementation of effective measures to reduce the threats posed by corruption to economic development and societal stability. The internal control system stands out as a vital element that contributes significantly to achieving this goal. The mechanisms for combating it and the role of the internal control system are essential in this context.<\/p>\n

The lecture has addressed the roles and responsibilities of internal control bodies in promoting transparency and integrity. It also sheds light on innovative mechanisms that can be adopted to combat corruption, such as electronic monitoring techniques and promoting a culture of accountability within institutions. The lecture also has highlighted the role of internal control as an integral part of the management system, stressing that improving internal control systems represents an essential step to strengthen administrative structures and achieve greater effectiveness in protecting against violations and corruption.
