The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad<\/a> discussed , a master\u2019s thesis in field of Industrial Management<\/a> by the student (Atheer Ahmed Hamed ) and tagged with (The possibility of applying the IMPULS model to measure the company\u2019s readiness for the Fourth Industrial Revolution) , Under supervision of (Assist.Prof Dr. Bushra Subaih Kazim )<\/p>\n

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a new phase in industrial development that relies on the integration of advanced digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and data. The research aims to assess the readiness of the Cotton Factory, affiliated to the General Company for Textile and Leather Industry, to adopt the concepts and technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0).\u00a0 The IMPULS model was chosen as a framework to assess the factory’s readiness to transform its digital operations and improve its efficiency using modern technologies. The IMPULS model research tools were used, which is a comprehensive tool for analyzing companies’ readiness for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and measures digital readiness. A list was designed based on the IMPULS model to collect data from factory employees and company management, as well as interviews with managers, engineers and operators in the factory to gain an in-depth view of the challenges and opportunities related to adopting Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. Excel tools were used to determine the level of readiness and gap. The most important results showed that the Cotton Factory is at the first beginner level with an average of (1.160) and a gap of (2.84). The Cotton Factory has a technical infrastructure of the beginner type, but it needs to be improved and developed in some aspects to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It was noted that there is a weakness in the factory’s ability to collect and analyze data effectively, which hinders data-based decision-making. It was found that there is a need to train employees on new technologies, as workers showed a desire to learn and use modern digital tools.\u00a0 The overall analysis indicates that the factory is in a beginner’s position in terms of readiness, but it needs additional investments in technology and training to reach a higher level of readiness. The thesis recommends the need to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to adopt the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with a focus on enhancing the factory’s competitiveness and making the most of modern innovations.<\/p>\n
