The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad<\/a> discussed , a master\u2019s thesis in field of Economic<\/a> by the student (Shiama Abbas Ali) and tagged with ( Private Sector Stimulation and Financing and its Impact on Economic Growth: Selected Experiences with Reference to Iraq) , Under supervision of (Prof Dr. Sabah Nima Ali )<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that the private sector plays a vital role in creating jobs, stimulating economic growth, and providing goods and services. Private sector companies strive to improve efficiency and innovation to meet market needs. Compared to the public and governmental sectors, the private sector is characterized by flexibility in decision-making, allowing it to adapt quickly to economic changes and market conditions.
\nThis research aims to explore how to stimulate the financing of the Iraqi private sector in order to increase economic growth. The research relies on inductive and deductive approaches to study the stimulation of the private sector through financing methods in order to reach relevant analyses and conclusions. Furthermore, it employs selected international experiences (Egyptian and Malaysian) and the possibility of reflecting their positive effects on the reality of the Iraqi economy.
\nThe research has reached several conclusions, most notably the weak contribution of the private sector to gross fixed capital formation due to the significant challenges it faced in terms of the open-door policy after 2003, as well as the flight of capital to neighboring countries due to security challenges and an unfavorable investment environment. The most prominent recommendation is to provide financial and technical support to the private industrial sector to modernize its equipment and technologies, encourage the transfer of technology from abroad, activate intellectual property protection laws, and strictly enforce them against violators.
