The College of Administration and Economics<\/a> at the University of Baghdad discussed , a master\u2019s thesis in field of Economic<\/a> by the student (Wissam Ali Hussein) and tagged with ( Analysis of the components of aggregate demand and their impact on the current account in Iraq\u2019s balance of payments) , Under supervision of (Prof Dr.Ghofran Hatem Alwan )<\/p>\n

The research aims to explain the impact of the components of the total demand on the current account in Iraq for the period (2000 – 2022) by analyzing the components of the total demand in Iraq and knowing the effects of these components on the current account structure, and the research is also assumed that the total demand components have no moral impact on the account The ongoing in Iraq during the period (2000 – 2022), where the inductive approach was followed by relying on the descriptive analytical method, as well as the standard quantitative method was used to estimate and analyze the relationship between the components of the total demand represented by (private consumer spending, private investment spending, Government spending, net exports) as independent variables and the current account as a variable dependent on the model of the self -slope of the dispensed (ARDL) because of this positive feature of this model represented in its suitability for small samples as well as static data in the first difference or level or a mixture of the two in order to explain the effect of components The total request in the current account. .
\nWhere the research concluded that there is a positive and moral effect by the net exports on the current account in the short and long term as a result of the high volume of oil exports and the high prices, as the average relative importance of oil exports (98.54%) of the total export structure during the research period, as for the rest of the variables The other represented by (private consumer spending, private investment spending, government spending) was the impact of the current account in the short and long term as a result of the high volume of oil exports and the adoption of the Iraqi economy significantly on it as well New productivity. .
\nThe research recommended the need to give more importance to investment spending at the expense of consumer spending as well as the diversity of income sources, the development and support of non – oil production sectors and the abolition of the policy of open door on
\nconsumer goods with the aim of providing support to the agricultural and industrial sector.<\/p>\n
