The College of Administration and Economics organized a big celebration on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee in the presence of: the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, President of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Sabah Munfi, Dean of the College, and a large number of academic figures and administrative leaders from the college graduates.

The ceremony began with any of the wise remembrance recited by Mr. Khaled Walid, then reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then the national anthem was played. Afterwards, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research gave a speech on the occasion, in which he congratulated the professors and staff of the college on the celebration, which is the culmination of a great scientific career that spanned 75 years. He made his way in other fields and still gives administrative, economic and statistical sciences to its students.

His Excellency the Minister also called on students to enroll in the faculties of administration and economics, as we are on the verge of scientific changes in  state administrations and institutions, especially after the technological development in the twenty-first century, and the administrative developments brought about by modern technologies such as electronic governance and artificial intelligence sciences, all of which make the faculties of administration and economics as important as medical colleges, that students compete for.

Following this, the President of the University of Baghdad, in his speech, gave an explanation about the university’s position in the international rankings and the number of researches submitted by professors and students of the university, which calls for pride and glory in the university’s status and the ambition that the University of Baghdad seeks with its professors, students and employees to access the world, especially after providing scholarships to Arab and foreign students.

Then Dr. Sabah Munfi, Dean of the College, delivered his speech in which the President of the University and the Minister pledged to keep the college as an inexhaustible sea for students of administrative and economic sciences and a great edifice among the colleges of the university, thanking all the efforts that were made and are being made so that the university remains a great scientific beacon. The President of the University of Baghdad presented a shield of gratitude to the Minister for his great support for the University of Baghdad.

Subsequently, His Excellency the Minister presented shields and gifts to the attendance of the college’s graduates from the administrative leaders.

The attendees organized a visit to the college’s museum, which includes pictures and documents that embody the history of the college, its professors, and the deans who have taken over its leadership from the date of its founding.

After that, the Minister inaugurated the drawing exhibition for the college students, and the President of the University gave the college a gift, drawing a personal portrait of His Excellency the Minister drawn by Professor Saad Kamel, in charge of the Student Activities Unit.
