The Department of Industrial Management organized a workshop on “The Role of the Perma Model for Happiness and Well-being of Workers in Government Institutions” presented by Dr. His Eminence Salman Dawood and M. Shaima Mahdi.

The workshop aims to apply positive psychology techniques to overcome the effects of past negative experiences, focus on goals, employ one’s capabilities to achieve them, be able to accomplish goals that he considered impossible, change unwanted habits, and feel confident about any experience he undertakes. Raising his levels of performance and weaving his values ​​and beliefs into a single fabric with what he desires to accomplish. Strengthening rapprochement with customers and colleagues at work, building good personal relationships with others, and adopting a positive mental attitude.

According to the model, happiness lies in spending more time with family, friends, and travel, which allows us to experience life in fullness and makes us happier, and gratitude is one of the basic principles of happiness. Therefore , whenever you can thank your loved ones for what they do for you, you are happy.

The workshop concluded that communication with others is one of the basic human qualities in life, and there is no doubt that the presence of good supportive relationships helps the employee when facing changes and difficulties. Therefore, effective communication, effective teamwork, and team building can make a vital contribution to achieving happiness in the workplace. .
