Prof. Dr. Adel Abdel-Wadud )
The current research aims to assess the awareness and adoption of talent management strategies within the research organization, as well as the level of interest in them. It also seeks to clarify the nature of the relationship between talent management strategies and high performance effectiveness, and the type of this relationship.
The research boundaries were defined by three variables: talent management strategies, including its dimensions (talent attraction, talent retention, learning and development); high-performance effectiveness, including its dimensions (openness and effective direction, long-term commitment, continuous improvement, management and employee quality); and the mediating variable represented by organizational agility, consisting of exploratory agility and investment agility.
To ensure the validity and reliability of the dimensions, modern foreign scales were adopted. The research was applied in several colleges, represented by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the College of Girls’ Education, and the Academy of Fine Arts.
To collect practical information, a questionnaire was designed, consisting of four axes. One axis addressed the demographic variables of the sample, and the remaining three axes were dedicated to questionnaire questions. A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed to a sample consisting of college deans, department heads, and faculty members. Ninety-five valid questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis, indicating a retrieval rate of 79%. Some of the retrieved questionnaires contained unclear answers to certain questions, which were consequently excluded to ensure more realistic results.
Statistical analysis of the questionnaires and result extraction were conducted using the AMOS PLS V.26 statistical analysis software, along with various statistical tools such as mean, median, standard deviation, path analysis, and relative importance. The research led to several conclusions, including the importance and necessity of talent attraction and retention processes for talented individuals. Therefore, the research recommends that the surveyed colleges should develop effective strategies for attracting and retaining top talents by employing rigorous assessment methods and objective tests.
