The current research aims to test the relationship between enlightened leadership in its dimensions (role models, developer, servant, communicator, visionary, and changer) as an independent variable and organizational sustainability in its dimensions (direction, attitude, organization, behavior, and evaluation) as a dependent variable among a sample of university leaders in the colleges of the University of Baghdad. This research aims to identify the extent of colleges’ interest in the variables and research dimensions. The research problem is clarified as the limited understanding and use of enlightened leadership in achieving sustainability in the college environment. The main research question is: Do enlightened leadership practices impact organizational sustainability in the colleges of the University of Baghdad? What is the nature of the relationship between them? The researcher used a descriptive-analytical approach to conduct the research. A purposive sample of 160 respondents from leadership positions (deans, assistant deans, and department heads) was adopted, and the primary analytical tool was the questionnaire. A total of 160 valid questionnaires were collected for statistical analysis. The researcher also used personal interviews and various statistical software, including SPSS V28 and AMOS V25, to extract the primary data. Using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including validity and reliability testing, confirmatory factor analysis, calculating means and standard deviations, and Pearson correlation coefficient, the researcher reached several conclusions. One of the main findings was the general orientation of colleges at the University of Baghdad toward enhancing their organizational sustainability through the adoption of enlightened leadership, being innovative, service-oriented, and improving evaluation.
