The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad discussed a higher diploma equivalent to Master’s Thesis in field of security strategic planning by the student (Mohammad Jassim Rasen ) and tagged with (The Security Strategic Direction and its impact on Counter Drug. Analytical Research in the Ministry of Interior ), Under supervision of ( Dr. Salah Abdel Qader Ahmed )
The purpose of the research is to measure the impact of the strategic security orientation in combating drugs, from the point of view of the relevant security services in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, and to identify the nature of the relationship between the research variables, as well as to provide some appropriate solutions for each of them. The research adopted the descriptive analytical method by analyzing the opinions of a group of leaders and officers of the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs, by distributing (113) questionnaire forms to them, in addition to a personal interview form, the results of which were analyzed using the (SPSS) program.
The research problem was the spread of drugs in Iraq, which required examining the paths of the strategic security direction in combating drugs and the preparations adopted by the Ministry of Interior in this field.
The theoretical results showed the emergence of a knowledge gap in the relationship between the strategic security orientation and drug control due to the scarcity of research and studies that combine the two variables. The scientific importance of the research is to provide an intellectual and theoretical presentation of the security strategic orientation and drug control, supported by field results that reveal the reality of the strategic orientation and its impact in combating drugs. Drugs, as well as clarifying the methods and methods that security and administrative leaders can be guided by and rely on.
Finally, the research concluded that there is a future vision for the security services and a deep understanding of technological developments and future security challenges. This vision focuses on using technology in an innovative way to enhance the ability to predict and respond to threats, as well as recommending that workers in the Ministry of Interior strengthen preventive measures and awareness programs to limit the spread of drugs and enhance joint cooperation between the Ministry and society to enhance anti-drug efforts.
