Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, President of the University of Baghdad, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Sabah Manfi Reda, Dean of the College, and in collaboration with the Iraqi Statistical Sciences Association, the College of Administration and Economics hosted the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Administration and Economics in Iraq.
The attendees discussed the current state of administration and economics colleges in Iraq amidst the global economic transformations and the rapid technological challenges that have become integral to the educational system. They also addressed the need to keep pace with technological developments across various disciplines to enhance and improve the quality of the educational process, with the aim of building students’ knowledge and skills and preparing them for the job market in the face of the digital transformation affecting all sectors.
Additionally, the committee members discussed the creation of new scientific departments in private colleges, the adoption of scientific books authored by college professors, and the development of academic curricula, including the incorporation of Bologna Process standards according to the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the University of Baghdad honored the attendees with certificates of appreciation for their effective efforts in advancing the academic progress. The Dean of the College also presented a Diamond Jubilee Shield to the President of the University of Baghdad and the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Administrative and Economic Sciences in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the college’s establishment.
