Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sabah Manfi Reda, Dean of the College, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Economics, has organized an awareness workshop entitled “The Water Issue in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.” The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Nawzad Abdul Rahman Al-Hiti, Senior Advisor at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. The workshop has addressed future problems and challenges in providing water suitable for human use and ways to address these challenges in Iraq and the Arab world. In addition, it has been discussed the experiences of some countries to ensure access to safe and affordable drinking water for all by 2030.
