About the Unit

_

The Office of Women Empowerment is one of the most important units, aiming to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women. This goal is achieved through mechanisms that encourage women to become self-reliant. Additionally, the office fosters understanding and participation between men and women. Consequently, the empowerment process is not just about social care for women but aims at providing women with economic and social strengths that enable them to be self-sufficient, continuously improve their conditions, and participate in decision-making.

The Women Empowerment Unit works to improve the status of Iraqi women, preserve their achievements, and promote a positive societal culture and national environment that supports their role, using a participatory methodology with all concerned parties.
