The ministerial committee was organized byAssist. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Kurdi from the College of Administration and Economics, Tikrit University, as head of the committee, and Assist.Prof.Dr.Haider Abbas Abdullah, College of Administration and Economics, University of Karbala, and Assist.Prof.Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajeel, Higher Institute for Accounting Studies, were members. and Finance at the University of Baghdad and Assist.Prof.Dr. Fayez Halil Sarih, College of Administration and Economics, University of Anbar. A field visit to the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad for the purpose of developing a master’s study in the field of financial and banking sciences, in accordance with Ministerial Order No. Q/321 in 2020 and the letter of the Opinion Commission No. 12S/526 in27/6/2022
Professor Dr. Sabah Manfi Reda, Dean of the College, gave an explanation of the college’s preparations by providing the material and scientific capabilities for the purpose of developing the study and preparing the classrooms and scientifically qualified teaching staff.
Dr. Sabah Menfi said that the establishment of the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences in our college came as a result of the urgent need to prepare banking cadres with the ability to work distinguishably and advance the reality of the financial sector in Iraq and make it one of the leading sectors in the national economy, as the department relies heavily on teaching on the use of the English language. With the aim of raising the student’s level in the foreign language, and enabling him to keep pace with the tremendous and accelerating progress in the financial sector.
The department aims to prepare highly competent and effective graduates in the field of finance and banking, provide advisory services, and contribute to continuing education programs to develop expertise in various economic sectors and civil society. Providing a suitable environment for interaction between students, professors and employees.
