The Department of Public Administration in our college organized an art festival entitled Life Savers, in which it hosted Colonel Alaa Al-Eidani, who has lost his eyes while fighting for the liberation of Iraqi cities.

After that, Dr. Omar Al-Ashari, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, gave his speech on the occasion, in which he saluted the values ​​of heroism and redemption in the personality of the colonel, and called on the students to follow the example of the colonel, who became a symbol of dedication, sacrifice, and saving lives. The cornel also completed a master’s degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts and is preparing for a PhD.

Dr. Hossam Ali Muheibes, head of the Department of Public Administration, emphasized in his speech that hope is the most important part of life. There is no life without hope, and that hope is the key to success and excellence. The head of the department also called on his students to love the country, to excel, succeed, and follow the example of Colonel Alaa Al-Eidani.

After that, a film about the colonel’s march was shown, and he conveyed the events of the battles fought by the heroes of the heroic Iraqi army, and how he was injured while performing the sacred duty, produced by the students of the department. After that, the colonel was honored by Dr. Mustafa Mounir, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Head of the Public Administration Department. The honoring affair also included a copy of  the Holy Qur’an given by Mr. Baraa Al-Amiri on behalf of the Holy Quran Foundation.
