The current research aims to test the role of digital governance in the service industry process through technological readiness. The banking sector was chosen as a field of research and based on the novelty of the topic it was applied in (Rafidain Bank of America) as a research community due to its high importance to the senior leadership in the two banks under study. The research sample consisted of senior management in the two banks as a purposive sample (board members, managing director, and department and division managers). The sample size was determined according to DeMorquin’s law, as (48) questionnaires were distributed and analyzed from a total population of (66) individuals for Rafidain Bank and Bank of America. From a population of (50) individuals, (31) valid questionnaires were received for analysis, bringing the total number of questionnaires to (79) for the purpose of surveying opinions on the variables under study. Therefore, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach, relying on the questionnaire as the primary tool for collecting data and primary information, as well as personal interviews to clarify the questionnaire sections and adopt some quantitative data required for the research.
The researcher used statistical programs (AMOS v.26 & Exeal SPSS v.26) to analyze the primary data, adopting descriptive inferential statistics methods to test the research hypotheses arising from the main questions of the research problem.
The value added by the current research is the use of the term “governance” Digital, which keeps pace with the development in the field of artificial intelligence, and digital, this variable also links the skills of bank leaders through their readiness and the readiness of banks for digital technology in work for the purpose of creating a distinctive banking service, which is the right path for banking trends at the present time, and for the purpose of achieving success and sustainability of work. The research showed a number of results, the most prominent of which was the existence of a significant role for digital governance in the banking service industry, as well as the reliance of senior management in banks in the research community on the use of modern methods in collecting and analyzing data and the use of technology in the stages of creating banking services, as well as in adopting modern and advanced technology for the purpose of keeping pace with institutional development in the field of serving current and potential bank customers by relying on the digital skills possessed by managers and relying on specialists in this field.
