Professor Dr. Waqas Saad Khalaf, a faculty member in the Department of Industrial Management, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Advisory Committee for Administrative and Economic Sciences at Iraqi Universities. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, with the participation of a number of heads and members of the subcommittees from various Iraqi universities.
The meeting was attended by the following representatives from the College of Administration and Economics – University of Baghdad:
- Professor Dr. Nagham Yousif Abdul-Ridha, Head of the Subcommittee of Advisory Experts for the Department of Industrial Management.
- Lecturer Dr. Bushra Subaih, Member of the Subcommittee for the Department of Industrial Management.
The meeting also included the participation of a number of male and female heads and members of subcommittees representing other academic specializations from the Universities of Kufa, Anbar, and Karbala.
The agenda addressed several topics related to the development of relevant academic departments, in addition to reviewing the work of the subcommittees and coordinating efforts to enhance the quality of academic programs and ensure their alignment with the requirements of institutional development.
The meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s commitment to strengthening integration and cooperation among Iraqi universities and enhancing the role of advisory committees in shaping academic policies. These efforts contribute to the development of administrative and economic disciplines and reflect the commitment of educational institutions to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals through improving the quality of education and scientific research and developing institutional capacities.
