The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad discussed a higher diploma equivalent to Master’s Thesis in field of security strategic planning by the student ( Ahmed Mereed Mohali ) and tagged with (Management information systems and their impact on security decision-making ), Under supervision of ( Dr. Youssef Aftan Abdullah )
The research aims to test the impact of management information systems in security decision-making, as well as to identify the level of practice of management information systems in the directorates of the security services in Muthanna Governorate (Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Intelligence Service, National Security Service, Counter-Terrorism Service) from the standpoint of the importance of the research variables to the directorates, society and the research sample, as the research adopted the descriptive analytical and exploratory approach in its completion, through a survey of the opinions of a sample of intentional quotas numbering (200) individuals, representing a sample of the Research (360) attributed in the directorates of the security services in Muthana Governorate, the research sample was represented by a group of officers with the following positions (department manager, division director, head of unit) by adopting the questionnaire as a main tool for data collection, which included (40) paragraphs divided into research variables, as well as conducting open interviews to identify the problems, strengths and weaknesses of the directorates and provide recommendations and proposals on them in a way that leads to enhancing strengths and addressing weaknesses The researcher relied on programs, including (Amos V24 program in some statistical aspects _ and Spss V26 ready-made statistical program) to test his hypotheses, with appropriate statistical methods for research, including (percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient, simple linear regression, determination coefficient R2) The most prominent research results reached by the researcher through the applied side of the research, which proved its validity The hypotheses were represented by the adoption of the directorates of security services in Muthanna Governorate for practices Management information systems, and were able to employ them to influence positively in the development of security decision-making, and the researcher came up with a number of recommendations.
