The College of Administration and Economics organized a scientific symposium entitled (Strategic Security) presented by Captain Mortada Majid Haidar from the Higher Institute for Security Development at the Ministry of Interior
The symposium included an introduction to the topic of student and university security, which includes several paragraphs, namely combating drugs and electronic extortion, managing bullying, protecting educational facilities, as well as cybersecurity and civil defence.
The concept of security is freedom from resistance against any potential harm or any unwanted forced change from external bodies.
As for the difference between national security and national security, the concept of national security stands on the political borders of each country as an ideal picture of political development, whether in the Arab or international circle.
As for national security, it is security on the basis of one state and concern for its interests only
As for the concept of strategic security, it is the art of using battles as a means to reach the goal of war
Or the art of mobilizing and directing military and security resources in achieving long-term security and repelling expected attacks
It depends on the awareness of the citizen and his self-awareness of the security conditions surrounding him, and the formation of a positive mental attitude towards the general security issues in society.
Drugs are defined scientifically as the chemical substance that causes drowsiness, sleep, or absence of consciousness accompanied by pain relief, as the symposium touched on the social and health effects of drug addicts and how to treat the addicted person.
As for electronic extortion, it is a process of threatening and intimidating the victim by publishing pictures or film materials or leaking confidential information related to the victim, in exchange for paying sums of money or exploiting the victim to carry out illegal acts in favor of the blackmailers, such as disclosing confidential information of the employer or other illegal actions.
The symposium was attended by a group of undergraduate students.
